We Needed a Sofa That Could Truly Live with Our Family

— A Real Story from an American Family Living in Thailand

We’re a family of four who relocated from the U.S. to Thailand — my wife and I, and our two boys, aged 12 and 17.

When we moved into our new home, we agreed on one thing immediately: we didn’t want a “showroom sofa.” We needed a sofa that could live with us.

Something deeply comfortable, a place for movie nights, gaming, naps, after-school chaos, conversations, and lazy weekends. Something that feels like part of our life — not something we constantly worry about protecting.

But like any real family, we also had concerns. Cleanliness is important to us. With two energetic boys, snacks, drinks, and “life moments” are unavoidable — so having fully removable washable covers mattered more than we realized. Not theoretically removable — truly easy to clean, something we’d actually use.

Then there was durability. Two boys. Endless energy. Zero concept of “gentle sitting.” They jump. They flop. They wrestle. And we didn’t want to spend our lives saying:

“Hey! Don’t jump on the sofa!”

We wanted a sofa that adapts to our family — not a sofa that forces our family to behave around it.

The Day We Visited the Showroom

Eventually, we decided to visit the Bunise showroom in person — and that day changed everything.

The space felt welcoming and calm. No pressure. No aggressive sales. Just people who genuinely wanted us to sit, feel, and experience.

We naturally gravitated toward the Cloud Sofa. My wife sat first. She looked at me and smiled:

“This… feels like home.”

I sat next to her. Within seconds, our boys took over the rest of it — one sprawling, one lying sideways like they had just discovered their new headquarters.

The Face-to-Face Conversation That Really Helped

What surprised us most was the conversation. They didn’t push features. They asked about our life.

  • How long do we usually sit on the sofa?
  • Do the kids play on it?
  • How important is hygiene truly?
  • Do we prefer super-soft or supportive comfort?
  • Do stains stress us out?
  • Do we want something that ages beautifully with real life?

We talked. They genuinely listened. At some point, I realized — this wasn’t just “buying furniture.” This was making a decision for our home.

Why We Chose the Cloud Sofa

The first time we truly sank into it, we laughed — because it was exactly what we’d been searching for:

  • Soft — without collapsing
  • Comfortable — but still supportive
  • Large enough — for real family living

And then came the customization. They helped us create something truly ours:

  • Fully removable washable covers
  • A complete second set of blue covers
  • Fabric and structure designed for energetic kids and long-term life

What that gave us was freedom. Freedom to live. Freedom to relax. Freedom to let our kids be kids — without worrying.

Delivery Day

When the sofa arrived, the team carefully delivered, installed, adjusted, and made sure everything felt right. And then came the moment that mattered — the first time we all sat on it together.

For the first time since moving countries, I felt something settle inside me. Like we were finally home.

Now, It’s the Heart of Our Home

The boys do homework on it. We pile together for movie nights. Sometimes we just sit and talk. Sometimes we just exist quietly together.

This sofa has seen laughter, chaos, stillness, and the everyday rhythm of a family finding its place in a new country.

Looking back, this was one of the best decisions we made after moving to Thailand. Not because it’s “a great sofa,” — but because it helped our house truly feel like home.
